DETECTIVE

Detective is a fun experiential learning tool that takes delegates into the world of crime investigation.

Delegates are expected to solve a crime by working together as a team to sift through evidence and clues. At the end of the simulation they, as the detectives on this case, must present their findings to the Senior Prosecutor(facilitator) who will be responsible for prosecuting the case. Not only must they indicate who they believe committed the crime, but they must be able to indicate how they came to this conclusion (decision) and what evidence supports it.

This simulation is highly interactive and great fun and can be used as a teambuilding activity or incorporated into existing learning solutions to enhance the learning experience.

AMPT BUSINESS SIMULATION

The Aircraft Manufacturing Plant (AMPT) simulation provides delegates the opportunity to run a full-scale business in a classroom environment.

Delegates are required to run a complete airplane manufacturing business that produces corrugated cardboard airplanes according to customer specifications. They are responsible for the entire operation and supply chain. The factory comprises various divisions, similar to a standard manufacturing plant which must be managed effectively. Delegates must plan their operations and resources to ensure they optimise efficiency and profitability while experiencing real life challenges such as power outages, labour issues, legislative constraints, etc.

This simulation is ideal for achieving one or more of the following outcomes:

ZIN OBELISK

The Zin Obelisk game is mostly used for senior management groups and leaders at executive level.

As with the DETECTIVE game, the Zin Obelisk game requires of delegates to work as a team to solve a problem. However, this game plays out in Atlantis, where nothing is as we know it and poor communication can lead to failure.

The game allows participants to experience and examine the sharing of information in team problem-solving, and to study the role of leadership in volatile and uncertain situations.

COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT

The Communications Project is a high impact, yet super fun game that can easily be incorporated as part of any existing communication learning solution. It can also be very effective as a team building activity to initiate discussion around communication frustrations.

This activity was designed to simulate the typical communication process within an organisation and highlights the constraints traditionally experienced at the various levels of the organisation’s structure.

Delegates work together in teams of 5 and compete to complete a project in the allotted time. They may only communicate in writing and only with people at specific levels within the organisation, and only via the communication process prescribed by company protocol.
